Cranks & Coffee is proud to bring you the exceptional coffees From La Cabra. La Cabra is a Danish roaster renowned for their dedication to quality, sustainability, and exploration. Established in 2012, La Cabra's journey began with a simple desire: to offer something new and exciting to the Aarhus coffee scene. This passion quickly evolved into an obsession with sourcing and roasting the finest beans from around the world, creating unique and unforgettable coffee experiences.
What Makes La Cabra Special:
La Cabra is not a classical roasting house where you can get the same beans all year around. Instead they use ethically sourced beans directly from their partner farmers. This ensures fair trade practices, responsible sourcing and different beans depending on the season. Each cup supports communities worldwide, making your coffee experience even more rewarding.
The beans is meticulous roasted from the expert roasters from La Cabra. Their expert roasters carefully coax out the unique flavors and aromas of each origin, resulting in coffees that are bursting with character and complexity.
La Cabra offers a diverse selection of single origin coffees, each offering a distinct taste profile. From vibrant Colombian beans to floral Ethiopian Yirgacheffe and rich Guatemalan Antigua, there's a perfect cup for every palate.

Introducing La Cabra - Umutumba, The latest release from the Long Miles Coffee Project in Burundi.
This honey lot is composed of cherry grown on the Mikuba hill. The extents of the hill are marked by the Ruvubu river, known for its deep and fast-flowing waters. Mikuba is located close to the Heza Washing Station, but covers a large area, meaning meaning many farmers walk long distances to deliver their cherries to the washing station. The Heza station itself sits at 1960 masl, so harvest normally starts around two weeks later here than at the lower altitude Bukeye station. This high altitude also leads to impressive views over the Kibira rainforest to Rwanda, which have given Heza its name; Heza means ‘beautiful place’ in Kirundi. Heza was built in January 2014, and now serves nearly 2,000 individual farmers. Heza also helps local farmers by supplying trees from a coffee tree nursery with over 15,000 seedlings.
This lot was processed using a honey method, de-pulped and dried directly, slowly on raised beds over 20-30 days, depending on weather conditions. This careful processing, along with excellent conditions on the Mikuba hill, results in a soft profile reminiscent of stone fruit, peach, apricot and black tea.
